Heroes!

"Everybody can be a hero!"

Man if prison break was good, this was awesome!

The whole plot sounds so done and dusted doesn't it? A bunch of heroes saving a city and ultimately the world with their amazing powers. It also has more than a passing resemblance to X -Men!
But this was something else! the fact that the heroes were not running around in capes and were actually scared of their powers just as everyone else is of them. They actually prefer to be relative unknowns rather than be "Special". (I know thats a word bastardised by its use in all contexts, but still...)

Thats what made this show so endearing. You could empathise with someone who is not comfortable being what they are. At some level it is true of most people. We all strive to be something we are not. Like the presidential canditate who wants to be normal. A human being who is in no way different when in reality he can fly! Just imagine it would have beenso easy to drape him in a colourful cape, put his underwear on the outside and ask him to serenade the reporter! But the writers resisted this urge and they came up with a winner!

Sadly though the series has ended for this season atleast and i can't wait for the second season!

Of the characters, Hiro, Peter, Sylar are my main favourites.

Hiro for his pure spirit and optimism and innocence in every situation! Hats off to Masi Oka for his portrayal of the character of Hiro. Brilliant stuff! (Or as Ron Weasely would say...Bloody Brilliant!) He, I somehow feel, has not realised his complete powers yet. We all know that he is still mastering them, and could be one of the most powerful heroes once he does nail the time travelling gig! Future Hiro is really cool though. More dark than joyful but still amazing!

Then ther's Peter Petrelli! Man would i love to be him. (without the fear of explaoding of course!) I somehow feel that he is the only person who can fight sylar! In fact i think he is the most powerful Hero! But the fact that he is the way he is inspite of his amazing powers..again well written! The negative role could so easily been cast on him and spoiled the drama. but the writers were smart! The poor watch maker with a decent power is now the all powerful villian while the nurse with mind blowing powers is the good guy who is still scared of the villian! I somehow like the darker future Peter though! (I guess i just like heartless, strong, al powerfull characters more!)

And of course Sylar! From a watch maker to a disaster creating, yet vulnerable villian! In fact i think he could become an all time favourite villian with his "Magneto" type abilities!

Anyway! waiting for season 2 with great relish. This series has huge expectation of the second season! Lets see if it gets there. I think it will!

Prison Break Season 2

Ok so Prison Break has now become a sort of addiction. You know when you really crave to see what happens next and want more even after it has ended. Like when Your father buys Kaju Barfi and you eat it sparingly everyday, wanting to eat more but you just won't because you want it to last for longer. You try and try but eventually it gets over and you wonder where the next intallment will come from. Butt hen after a while the feeling goes away and you get on with life. But if ever you were presented more you would waste no time in relishing it!

Well Prison Break has ended up being something like that!

The Second Season was just as exciting as the first. Well yes i do admit that the first was wonderful because of the fact that it was the first of its kind and the second had huge boots to fill. But i would say that it has done a great job! Wonderful plot and pretty riveting! It does drag at times as if the authors were trying hard to pen 22 episodes but i for one will not complain bout the over all effect of it!

The Third season is in the pipelines and i can't wait for it to start! Man its a mouth watering prospect!
